My hobbies are:

• The Costa Rican Nation, the people and how the spanish language is spoken there, (see images of my recent trip in Dec. 2001)
 
• Programming and experimenting with electronical devices,
 
• A little bit astronomy (some of my photographies) and reading science fiction and fantasy,
 
• Trampoline, swimming and volleyball

• Many Rock'n'Roll images at the Post Sportverein Bremen (Post SV).

Currently I am working for the Center for Medical Diagnostic Systems and Visualization (MeVis) at the University of Bremen in Germany.

My work in medical imaging includes

• the maintenance and development of the MeVis Image Processing Library (ML) for the VICORA project,
• the visualization of 2- and 3-dimensional image data, volume rendering and OpenInventor modules in ILAB ,
• some aspects of image manipulation/segmentation, the implementation of modules for 3D- drawings and filling, detection of tubular and spherical strucures in 3D data sets.
• simulation, planning and visualization of (Liver) Surgery and Surgery Planning.
