FBP-SPECT Reconstruction

This page features some short image sequences related to my dissertation Simultaneous Activity and Attenuation Reconstruction in Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography, a Nonlinear Ill-Posed Problem.
This page is still under developement.

The sequences show improvements on the standard filtered backprojection obtained by estimating the attenuation map via a nonlinear backprojection and correcting the measured data for attenuation using this map. The support function of the estimated attenuation is used to clip the reconstruction in the righthandside cases.
